Located in the beautiful and idyllic Gosau valley, in the unspoilt heart of the Salzkammergut,
and set within the Vitalhotel, our studio apartment is the perfect holiday home for couples
of all ages to enjoy exhilarating outdoor activities, or a romantic break - all year round!
In Winter, our apartment is in the centre of the ski resort, at 780m. A free ski-bus, from the front door, takes you to the ski lifts up the road. Cross-country skiing trails (40 kms) start here, too. In other seasons, we’re ideally placed for walking and sightseeing. The local Gosausee lake and surrounding trails attract walkers and mountain-bikers to the valley as well as many international tourists. The view of the massive Dachstein and glacier reflected in the lake is famous. Up on top, on the plateau, easily reached by cable car is a superb view, best seen from the mountain hut restaurant terrace where tasty meals can be enjoyed in warm sunshine.
High up on the 3rd floor, our south-west facing apartment enjoys the sun to the end of the day, and boasts extensive views up the spectacular Gosau valley to the impressive jagged Gosaukamm ridge nearby, and over meadows to the ski slopes.
It consists of a large room, where the living area has two sofas for extra comfort, and a dining table, with the sleeping area at the rear. There is a separate kitchen and bathroom, as well as the balcony for extra space - particularly lovely in the sunshine.
Superbly located up on the southern end of the prestigious Vitalhotel, freshly refurbished last year, our apartment situation allows our guests to enjoy the wonderful mix of sports and leisure facilities, and to try out some spa treatments, for a truly fabulous time, winter and summer. Healthy fresh air, too!
The hotel offers us and our guests free use of the indoor swimming pool and sauna – and specially discounted prices in the hotel’s full-service restaurant. Our apartment allows self-catering but, with a wide choice of local restaurants - in the village, on the mountain tops, beside Gosausee and at other lakes, dining out is a lovely and varied experience!
Our apartment's own kitchen is sufficient for breakfast, snacks and picnics, and evening meals when dining-in is prefered. In the summer, you will find our sunny balcony is a wonderful place to dine with tinkling cow-bells and the sounds of distant church bells creating a relaxing atmosphere.
Gosau's central position in the beautiful lakes region offers a wide range of activities: Trail walks and cycle rides, boat trips, lake swimming and BBQs, a cog-railway ride, fishing and golf. For thrills, there's white water rafting, paragliding and rock-climbing! Close by are pretty spa towns and lakeside villages. Salzburg is only 45 minutes drive away (airport and shopping).
After busy, active or lazy days in the mountains our guests love to return for a refreshing swim and sauna before rewarding themselves with a cocktail in the bar and a tasty 3-course dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Visitors to our 'Gosau Apartment' will find themselves perfectly placed for great skiing, snow-boarding and langlauf (40 kms of cross-country skiing)- and in other seasons - for hiking and mountain biking through some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe, with relaxing treatments to soothe you afterwards in the same building! 
Our friends in other apartments will try to help us out if our availability doesn't suit you, or if you'd like to bring your friends or family along too, and need extra space.
