"We spent two weeks in August in this splendid apartment, which is perfectly situated in stunning surroundings. The views of the Dachstein Mountains from the balcony are breathtaking. Gosau itself is great - very uncommercialised and peaceful with many walks. Gosausee, a 10 minute drive/bus ride up the road is a must - the glacier is absolutely magnificent. Further afield, Halstatt, with its ice-caves and salt mine, Salzburg and Wolfgangsee, are all within striking distance. Although we didn't take a car, the busses ran on time and the bus stop is a very handy short walk up the road from the Hotel.

The apartment itself was great - very homely with finishing touches such as Austrian ornaments etc. The beds were very comfortable, as was the sitting area with a TV and DVD player - the owners have provided the apartment with a plentiful supply of DVDs to choose from. We liked the fact that the balcony is carpeted - we could walk out in bare feet. The apartment's kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. An added bonus is the free use of the hotel's swimming pool and sauna.

Gosau Apartment is advertised on several international holiday let websites, as we are just into our 2nd year of ownership. In time we hope to build up a list of regulars - friends of friends, and so on. 

We have created a FaceBook page called 'Gosau Apartment' so that our guests may share some of their photos and comments, if they wish. We always like to know how our guests have been enjoying themselves and what activities they love doing, or if there is something special unknown to us that they have discovered around Gosau. Gosau and Venice! Combine a stay here with one in Venice! It's a great combination! And the train runs conveniently from Salzburg (stopping at Golling) to Venice, change at Villach - easy and very good value.
